Italian Switchblade stiletto cm 17,5 Lelle Floris

This is a rustic traditional hand made switchblade by the Sardinian knifemaker Lelle Floris. The blade is 17,5 cm. The scales are smooth mouflon Horn. The bolsters are of steel. This knife is very well made and is in new condition. Lelle Floris is a highly skilled third generation knife maker who does excellent work

the Molise automatic knife for self-defense; created by Lelle Floris whose origin dates back to the early 800s and from the parts of Campobasso and Frosolone. As you can see from pictures, the dimensions of this italian automatic switchblade knife are notable when compared to the hands of an adult. Once opened, it exceeds 33 cm and illustrates its aggressiveness. The blade is equipped with a second cutting edge that also enables the use of the tip as well as for cutting, and the handle is made of ram's horn. The blade ends with a coupling pin, which is inserted in the head of the retaining spring that allows the blade to remain locked in the open position, and the handle ends with a classical “S” guard that doesn’t allow the hand to slide toward the blade during the use of the switchblade in the penetration phase, thus avoiding injuring the person holding the knife. To open the blade, this italian switchblade should be held in a way so as not to give resistance to the exit of the blade from the handle and, at the same time, the button housed on the outside of the cheek must be pressed (this is more agile for right-handers). Unlike switchblades built in the italian city of Maniago, in this automatic knife the bracket that leads from the button opening to the hole in the blade is external and not concealed within the handle. This particularity allows us to create very thin switchblades, even in the face of substantial sizes in length. A thin knife could be easily concealed under clothing, placed in special pockets sewn on the inside of tabards or jackets. By pressing the button opening, the hook at the end of the bracket rises and frees the blade, which by means of the spring assist, is quickly expelled outwards, allowing the opening of the switchblade with one hand. It should be noted that unlike other switchblade knives this model is not equipped with a safety...a truly aggressive small object.

Ein wunderschönes vom Meister Lelle Floris hergestelltes Messer zur persönlichen Verteidigung. Die Herkunft des aus dem frühen 19.Jahrhundert stammenden Messers ist die Gegend um Campobasso und Frosolone. Die Größe des Messers im Vergleich zur Handfläche eines Erwachsenen ist beträchtlich und mit einer Länge von 33 cm (geöffnet) zeigt es seine ganze Aggressivität; das Messer mit Heft aus Widderhorn und Klinge mit Gegenschneide ist nicht nur als Schneide- sondern auch als Stichmesser geeignet. An der Heftseite befindet sich ein Feststellknopf, der sich durch eine Sperrfeder einrasten lässt und somit das Öffnen der Klinge ermöglicht. Das Heft endet mit einem klassischen S -förmigen Wächter, damit die Hand beim Stechen nicht unbeabsichtigt in die Klinge rutschen kann. Zum Öffnen wird der Griff so gehalten, dass die Klinge frei bleibt und gleichzeitig wird der Sperrknopf gedrückt (für Rechtshänder einfacher als Linkshänder). Zum Unterschied der von Maniaco hergestellten Messer ist die Klemme entlang des Heftes sichtbar und wird nicht zwischen Heft und Klinge „versteckt“. Diese Besonderheit ermöglicht die Herstellung von sehr dünnen Messern, welche in geheimen Jackentaschen versteckt werden können. Durch Drücken des Öffnungsknopfes wird die Klemme vom Heft abgehoben und die Klinge springt heraus, was auch mit einer Hand möglich ist. Als Unterschied zu anderen Springmessern verfügt dieses über keine Sicherungsvorrichtung … ein wirklich aggressiv anmutender Gegenstand.
